Red Junglefowl near Orchard Road, Singapore
A pair of Red Junglefowl (Gallus gallus) were feeding on the grass patch near the MRT station near Orchard Road. They flew-up to a nearby tree as I approached them with my phone camera. As usual, I ran back and picked up my DSLR camera. Surprisingly, they were quite comfortable on top of the tree. While I was hoping for them to come down to the ground again to get a better view. They stayed on the tree . Has anyone seen Red Junglefowl near Orchard Road, Singapore?

The Red Junglefowls flew from tree to tree across the ERP gantry near Orchard Road finding a place to roost for the evening around 6:30 pm.

The roaster crowed three times before settling down. The Male Red Junglefowl is normally identified by the white cheek. They are members of the Phasianidae family and believed to be the ancestral of the domestic chicken. It is rather unusual to see these birds near Orchard Road Singapore.
