What has a wildlife photographer got to do with ” The price of beauty at its most extreme” ? John goes to the jungle to find wildlife. In this series, John was flown into the concrete jungle, inside the hospital operating theater to be exact, to look for beauty. ASIA Exposed is a 30 minute documentary series that follows established photographers on eye-opening quests in search of the true meaning of their role behind the lens. Asia Exposed Episode 4 is about “ The Price of Beauty at its most extreme “ which premiered Thursday, 6 October 2011, at 8.30pm. exclusively on Channel NewsAsia.
The crew travelled to Yunnan, Nanjing and Shanghai in August 2011 to document the issue on “ the price of beauty at its most extreme” as seen by a wildlife photographer. Our schedule was hectic getting up early in the morning for a long bus journey into the deep countryside in search for beauty and stayed up late to complete the last minute filming. Thanks to Third Floor Pictures, Diego A. Garcia, Executive Producer/Director, Dharmesh T, Producer, Danny Goh, Foo Sing Wah, Fanfan Zhuang, Fan Li-Ming and Rachel Chua to make this a success.
